Hello all,

For those attending the Aspiring Champions gala this weekend there are a number of very important changes from previous galas in UL. Can you all please read and familiarise yourselves with the COVID protocols and the cut off for scratches etc. The below information was sent on from the organisers.

Protocol for Aspiring Champions Meet October 2021

COVID 19 Protocols

1. Covid 19 passport ( coaches, team managers,  swimmers over 18 and spectators)
2. Follow arrows in arena for entry just after reception, exit at side door near pool office. 
3. No opening of exit doors except in case of emergency as they are alarmed.
4. All team managers to keep attendance list for all sessions and copies to be emailed after each day.
5. Face coverings to be worn at all times except for swimmers when swimming. 
6. All clubs to bring their own hand sanitisation or each swimmer to bring their own. 
7. Hand sanitisation will be in the call rooms. 
8. All spectators to sign in. Limited space for spectators. All spectators over 18 must have covid passports or the equivalent. Swimmers, coaches or team managers are NOT permitted in the spectator area.
9. Timekeepers to use sanitiser wipes to clean chair's after each session. 
10. No approaching the desk except for coaches and only if absolutely necessary. 
11. No camera's allowed. 
12. Programmes will be on sale in the reception area. 
13. If showing signs of covid 19 please do not attend. 
14. Limit number of coaches and team managers who must sign in for each session. (maximum of 4)
15. No access to any other areas of the arena. 
16. Cubicles are available for changing but no gear bags are to be left in the Cubicles. 
17. Showers are available but no shampoo or shower gels allowed. 
18. Clubs should stay within their own pods.

Scratches & Relays names -  Scratches and relay names in order of swimmers for Saturday must be emailed to patdonovan02@gmail.com by Friday 22nd October at 5 pm.  Scratches and relay names for Sunday can be emailed or written on relevant forms and posted in the box situated on the high table in the pool area by 2 pm on Saturday

Heat sheets will be available on the high table at the balcony end of the pool.  We would urge clubs to take only the necessary amount and be aware that other clubs will also require these.
