Hi all,
In the interests of health and safety as well as the evolving situation with COVID, the club feel it is necessary to make a number of changes with regards to how the sessions are ran for the junior squad. These requirements will apply to the following sessions only:
Wednesday Shannon 7-8pm
Saturday Shannon Island 2-4pm
Sunday Grove Island 1-2pm
- We would remind everyone that Health Declaration forms must be filled in ahead of each session.
- People acting as Person on Duty for these sessions must be there 10 minutes before hand and check in each swimmer at the front door.
- All parents or guardians dropping their children to these sessions must accompany them as far as the front door and make sure that they have been checked in by the Person on Duty.
- The Person in Duty will now be required to make themselves known to the coaches ahead of the session and should now sit on the swimming pool deck area for the duration of the session.
- The Person on Duty is required to record attendance via ClubZap, information on how to do this is located in the "News" section of the app. To make sure that attendance is recored fully and accurately, please check with one of the coaches before you leave the pool area. Sometimes it can be hard to catch a swimmers name with everyone wearing face coverings so if you can't match the swimmer, show them the list on the app and ask them to show you their name.
- If you are acting as Person on Duty please check ahead of the session that you have access to the attendance function and are familiar with how to record the attendees. If you are having trouble accessing the attendance list please contact Morgan directly (086 8129105) either via text, WhatsApp or by Private Message in ClubZap. The coach at the session should also be able to help if you are having difficulties.
- For health and safety reasons sessions can not go-ahead if there is no Parent on Duty present. As such it is crucial that you make note of what dates you are rostered on and arrange a swap with another parent if you can not make it.
- The Parent on Duty should wear a face covering at all times.
Thanks in advance for all your help on this. It is important that we comply with the rules to make sure swimming can continue to be a safe environment for everyone.
